 Week Thirty-Two (4/06/26-4/10/26)

Dear MASH Wildcat Families,

I hope you had a great week!

As we move into the month of April, I wanted to share a few important updates and highlights. Marking Period 4 officially began last Thursday, and we are now entering an important stretch of the school year where consistent effort, strong habits, and daily engagement will make a meaningful difference for students.

Marking Period 3 grades and teacher comments are now posted in Sapphire for your review. We encourage families to take a few moments to review this information on Sapphire with your student, celebrate progress, and identify any areas for growth as we move forward into the final marking period.

Spring recess begins on April 2, with classes resuming on Tuesday, April 7. We hope this break provides time for rest, reset, and connection before we return for a strong finish to the school year. Enjoy your spring recess! We look forward to welcoming students back to MASH on Tuesday, April 7th.

Looking ahead, April is filled with opportunities for students to get involved and stay connected to our school community. Events include our Cultural Heritage Fair, National Honor Society Blood Drive, Junior Class Meeting (focused on senior year planning topics such as the Graduation Project, Act 158 requirements, and post-secondary pathways), Third in the Burg, CREW activities, and Prom. Check out our rolling slides below for athletic event information for next week.

April Focus: “Community in Action” (R.O.A.R.)
Our theme this month reflects a core belief at MASH—that community is something we actively build through our daily actions. This aligns with our R.O.A.R. focus of Reinforcing Safety. When students participate with respect, demonstrate awareness of others, and take shared responsibility, they help create a school environment where everyone feels connected, supported, and safe. We encourage all students to continue leading with respect and recognizing the impact of their actions on others.  We will also spend time on the morning announcements next week reviewing daily expectations of students for their attendance, behavior, and academics.  Students will also receive their monthly email from our Admin team prior to next week outlining our cycle days and important activities for the month of April.

Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and support. We appreciate all you do to help make each day meaningful for our students. Have a wonderful season ahead.

Sincerely,
Joseph P. Reidy
Principal, MASH
