 Week Twenty-one (1/19/26-1/23/26)- Coming Up!

Dear MASH Families,

As we wrap up the week, I want to share a few updates and, most importantly, extend a sincere thank you to our families.  We are concluding two weeks of major state testing for the Winter block. Your support in helping students arrive on time, well-rested, and prepared made a meaningful difference.  The steps you take at home with your teenager - perhaps shaping their daily routines, encouraging effort, and reinforcing the importance of school - are essential to our success. Your partnership is so valuable, and we are truly grateful for it.

We are also settling into the first several days of Semester Two classes. While the start of the semester included some schedule adjustments due to testing, students have done an excellent job adapting, and instruction is now moving forward with focus and momentum.

Looking ahead, we are also preparing for course selection for the upcoming school year - 2026-2027, which will begin next week for students. If you are interested in learning more about our programs and offerings, you can view our course catalog here: https://www.mashcourseselection.org/.

Please see the information below about our second semester Back to School Night, scheduled for Wednesday, January 28th at 7pm. We look forward to connecting with parents and guardians that evening. We are also excited to host several external partners who will be available to support families of students heading into 11th and 12th grade.  I have also included a newsletter link specific to the many different opportunities available to our students.

Our winter extracurricular activities and athletics are in full swing, adding to the vibrant life of our school community.  As we approach Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I hope you and your family find time to reflect on the values of service, equity, and opportunity, and the important role education plays in shaping a more just future.

Thank you again for your continued trust and support, and for all you do each day to help your child be ready and prepared for school.  We have amazing students at MASH.

Have a great weekend!
Joe Reidy, Principal - MASH

We would like to invite you to join us at our Spring Semester Back To School Night Program which we will host at MASH on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 beginning at 7 PM.

You will begin your evening in your child's CREW location where you will collect materials/information to guide you through the evening. You will also hear information regarding this year's academic program and bell schedule. From there you will move through your child's Semester Two Day 1 schedule, meeting their teachers and learning about their daily experiences and opportunities at MASH. You will remain in CREW until 7:15 when you will move to period 1.

Please plan to arrive on campus around 6:45pm so that you can make it to your child's CREW location 7:00 PM. We will have our entrance near the Wildcat Activities Center and our Main Office area open on this day.  You can find your child's CREW location in their Sapphire Portal (it is listed as homeroom) but these will also be posted in the building on Wednesday evening.

For Parents of Rising Juniors and Seniors

While the primary focus of our Second Semester Back To School Night Program is to allow you to meet those teachers with whom your children will be learning from during the  semester, the timing of this event also coincides with the launch of our annual course registration process.

With this in mind, we are pleased to inform you that many of our external partners have been invited to join us on Wednesday, January 28, to be available for you and your questions as you work to gain insight to the options available for your children during the 2026-2027  school year.  We will have many of our higher education dual enrollment partners, some of our workforce development partners, as well as representatives of some specialty programs on hand to share information about their respective programs.  Our MASH Counselors will also be available in this same area to talk through these scheduling opportunities.

These individuals will be set up and available in the MASH main lobby and commons areas to provide you information and answer your questions. We encourage you to arrive early to learn from these partners prior to following your child’s daily schedule for our Back To School Night Program. Our partners will be set up by 6:00 and our BTSN program will begin at 7 PM.
