Dear MASH Wildcat Families,
I hope this Friday communication finds you well.
Marking Period Timeline
As we wrap up the third marking period this coming week, we look ahead to the start of Marking Period 4 on Thursday, March 26. Grades for Marking Period 3 will be posted on Sapphire - April 1.
Spring Recess & Upcoming Events
Our spring recess will begin on April 2, with classes resuming on Tuesday, April 7. We also have several exciting community events approaching, including our Cultural Heritage Fair. In the coming weeks, we will continue to share opportunities for students to get involved in extracurricular activities and strengthen their connections within our school community.
March Focus: Attitude & Approach (R.O.A.R.)
Throughout March, our building focus has been on Attitude and Approach as part of our R.O.A.R. framework: Responsibility, Overcoming Challenges, Attitude/Approach, and Reinforcing Safety. These K–12 concepts emphasize college and career readiness at the high school level. In recognition of Women’s History Month, we shared daily wisdom from notable women around the world, reinforcing the idea that attitude is a daily choice.
We encourage students to reflect:
Am I solution-oriented?
Am I respectful?
Am I resilient?
Am I someone others can trust?
As we say often at MASH - "your approach helps define your legacy - starting today."
Senior Families – Class of 2026
Families of our seniors should expect a communication in the coming week with important updates and information as we approach the end of the school year.
Punctuality Reminder
As we transition between marking periods, we are reinforcing expectations around punctuality. For first period, all students must be in their seats by 8:20 AM or they will be marked late. Please note that arriving on campus at or after 8:16 AM often results in a student being late due to the time needed to enter and navigate the building. We ask that students plan accordingly to ensure a safe and timely arrival.
Arrival & Traffic Flow
We have implemented measures to improve traffic flow in front of the school. Please be reminded that student drop-off in the student parking lot is not permitted.
Student-Life
Encourage your child to check out our rolling slides (found in the monthly email from me, shared around the building on TVs, and linked below) for ways to get involved around campus. This coming Friday is our next Third in the Burg event after school. Students received an email with information on how to sign up, and school transportation will be available to take students home.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Enjoy your weekend!
Sincerely,
Joseph P. Reidy
Principal, MASH
