A Look Back at an Exciting Week at Shepherdstown!
It’s been a full and fantastic week at Shepherdstown! From exploring ancient history to hands-on learning and special celebrations, our Wildcats were busy learning, creating, and connecting.
- In 1st grade, teamwork was the name of the game as students built word chains in CKLA skills to strengthen their reading and spelling skills.
- Our 2nd graders are wrapping up their CKLA unit on the birthplace of democracy, Ancient Greece. Mrs. Goldsborough’s and Mrs. Beard’s classes celebrated with a Mini Olympics, Greek food tasting, and even a visit from a Spartan!
- Our 3rd graders are exploring animal classification in CKLA. In Mr. DeCamilla’s class, students put their critical thinking to the test in “Find the Fib: Amphibian Edition,” using text evidence to distinguish fact from fiction.
- Miss Cerio’s class took learning on the road with a visit to Tiny Town in Lancaster, exploring community roles through imaginative play.
- And across the school, students have been busy in art class preparing for our Veterans Day Community Meeting - we can’t wait to share more next week! ❤️🤍💙
- Finally, we celebrated School Psychologist Week, showing our appreciation for Ms. Tracy Watkins-Harper and her care, compassion, and expertise. 💙
