Wildcat Wednesday/67th Day of School
Wednesday brought lots of smiles at Shep! Our staff and students rocked their Wildcat gear, and a few staff members even surprised everyone by showing up wearing lots of 6-7 apparel in honor of the 67th day of school! 💙🐾
Severe Weather Drill Practice
This week, our students practiced a severe weather drill. They did a wonderful job following directions and staying calm. These drills help ensure everyone knows what to do to stay safe in the event of an emergency.

Naglieri Assessment for Second Graders
- Our second graders will take the Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (NNAT3).
- This assessment measures students’ reasoning and problem-solving skills using shapes and patterns rather than language. It helps us better understand how students think and learn. It is one of several tools we use when looking at academic strengths and supports.
- The assessment is administered on the iPad and takes approximately 25-30 minutes.
- There is nothing special your child needs to do to prepare. Please just encourage them to do their best!

Cold Weather and Recess Time |

|
Cold weather has definitely arrived! Here are some reminders about our winter weather and recess procedures:
Outdoor Recess: Students will go outside for recess most days to enjoy fresh air and a movement break. Please make sure your child comes to school with a warm coat, hat and mittens or gloves.
Cold Weather Guidelines: If temperatures are especially low or there are weather advisories, an announcement will be made about recess being inside. Decisions will prioritize student safety.
