MMS Parents and Guardians,

As we head into the winter season, we recognize the possibility of inclement weather that may result in a delayed opening or school closure.  Identified below are our plans for 2-hour delays, school closures, and remote learning days should we exceed four weather-related closures this school year.  MMS staff, students, and families can expect timely updates throughout the year, including any adjustments to the bell schedule due to weather conditions.

Joel Yohn, MMS Principal

Weather Closures:

  • Day 1, 2, 3 - No School (No Make Up / No Remote Learning)
  • Day 4 - School will be made up on May 1, 2026
  • Day 5+- Remote Learning Days

Two-Hour Delay Schedule

Doors will open at 10:10 a.m. for students to enter the building.

Remote Learning Day Schedule

We will use the Remote Learning Day schedule after the fourth school closure.  The following information is an outline of how we will operate MMS on these days.

Explanation of Schedule:

Should the need for this schedule to be put in place, students will continue to follow their schedule from their homes. All students will need to log-on to their computer, follow the above scheduled class times, and meet with their teachers synchronously throughout the day.

Zoom links will be posted in the teachers’ Google Classroom prior to the start of the day (10:30 a.m.).

Students should eat during their regularly scheduled: 30 min. lunch period

Band/Chorus/Orchestra students scheduled for rehearsals on these days will meet from 3:00-3:30 p.m. remotely.

These days DO count as cycle days.

Attention:  NO students will be reporting to the building when the “M.M.S. Remote Learning Day Schedule” goes into effect.
