MASH Nurse Notes

Early Dismissal Due to Illness

For an early dismissal due to illness to be excused, students must be assessed by the nurse and given a Dismissal Form for the Attendance Secretary. If your child contacts you because they are not feeling well, please remind them they must be evaluated by the nurse. If an early dismissal is necessary, we will contact you to make those arrangements. Student pick-ups due to illness that are not arranged through the nurse will be unexcused.

Sapphire Updates

If you haven’t already done so, please take a few minutes to provide the following updates in Sapphire for this new school year. This information must be updated each school year.

1. Update your contact information so that we can reach you (or whoever you designate) in the event of an emergency. This information can and should be updated at any time during the school year if phone numbers or emergency contacts change.

2. Provide permission for the nurses to administer the over-the-counter medications that we keep in the Nurses’ Office. We have Tylenol, ibuprofen, Tums, Benadryl, hydrocortisone cream, antibiotic ointment, and anti-fungal cream available. We cannot administer these medications to students without parent or guardian permission.

3. Finally, please provide any updates to your child’s medical history/conditions, allergies, and/or current medications.

The more information we have, the better we will be able to care for your child.
